A Music Video is a short movie or animation that comes with music of any style or genre (contemporary, pop, classical, folk, etc). The music can be with or without lyrics, in any language. The music and the lyrics may be original or pre-existing. The video and the music need to compliment each other in telling a visual story about an aspect of Iranian Heritage such as arts, history, crafts and culture. All entries will be judged for creativity, quality, and originality.
The winner’s movies will be screened in Los Angeles during the Farhang Foundation Nowruz celebration.
About Farhang Foundation
Farhang Foundation is a non-religious, non-political and not-for-profit foundation established in 2008 to celebrate the art and culture of Iranian-Americans in its widest extent. The foundation supports academic activities in Southern California by funding university programs, publications and conferences. The foundation also supports cultural programs such as celebration of Noruz and Mehregan, Iranian plays, dance performances, films screenings and poetry reading in Southern California. Farhang Foundation, n cooperation with various cultural and academic institutions plans major programs and exhibitions about Iran and its culture.
Farhang Foundation's Mission
